Start with your water quality report rather than a product page. Treated town water is safe to drink. That is not the same as saying it is pleasant, or free of the things people are now testing for.
How to choose the right system
Work through four things in order. First, the point of use: drinking water, bathing water, or everything. Second, the contaminant list from your report. Third, the Reduction Level that covers that list. Fourth, the cartridge interval and what it costs you annually.
Reduction Levels
FD-3 handles chlorine, sediment and taste. FD-5 adds PFAS, lead, pesticides and microplastics — this is what most homes should be on. FD-7 adds VOCs, chloramine and an optional fluoride stage.
Email hello@filterdaddy.com with your report and we will mark it up for free, whether or not you buy.
